About :
Preeta is a trauma informed counseling psychologist certified in Neuro Linguistic Programming and with training in Family Therapy and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Over her varied spectrum of professional experience, she has worked closely with children and adolescents, teachers and caregivers, and young adults across corporates, schools, and NGOs.
After 3 years of experience as a school counselor, she co-founded I Am Wellbeing in 2015 and subsequently left to diversify her work and focus on lending her expertise in the field. In 2019 she assumed the position of Curriculum and Program Development Specialist at Neevam Foundation.
Preeta believes in a dual approach to mental well-being - she is a strong proponent for preventive work along with the current popular focus on Mental Health intervention. Her writing and analytical skills have helped her create training manuals, write articles, and design research based programs. She is proficient in creating curriculum for workshops, conducting trainings, and creating resources and tools for mental well- being. With a mutli-dimensional approach, she incorporates various technical lenses (eg. CBT, NVC, trauma, relational) along with different modalities such as art, play and movement in her work.
Preeta envisions that every human being, irrespective of their privilege or status deserves a chance to be the best version of themselves and aims at creating spaces in communities and organisations that nurture this goal.
