Dear Children,
Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
Yes, the magical season has begun.
With many of the schools being closed for a winter vacation – Hurrah! It’s Christmas Season.
Yes, the big festival celebrated all over the world, with gusto, preparations, decorations, cakes and candies, fun and conversation. The big day is celebrated every year on the 25th of December, to celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus. There’s a lot of excitement, and it pervades the entire world. The season of prayers, carols, gifts and cakes.
Today, as we celebrate, let’s take a tour on the actual meaning of Christmas and the actual message of Christmas.
For many of us, Christmas is all about good food, gifts, new clothes, Christmas tree and the shining star.
As parents, let’s try to spread the true spirit of Christmas and make it more meaningful for our children.
So, children, this is the time to fortify your faith: Pray – Prayer is the key of the morning and the bolt of the evening.
Be Grateful
Learn to accept and appreciate everything that you receive. Do not compare with others. Be happy and content with whatever you have, receive and reciprocate kindness. Count your blessings.
“A grateful heart is a beginning of greatness. It is an expression of humility. It is a foundation for the development of such virtues as prayer, faith, courage, contentment, happiness, love and well-being.”
James E. Faust
Be Happy and Hopeful: Dream! Breathe! Learn to let go!
Spread the holiday cheer – sing, dance, make merry, invite friends over, trust the Lord and party.
Celebrate love. Fill your homes with love.
Indulge in random acts of kindness, be kind to others, gift someone who needs a shawl, may be your old shawl, sweater, toy or crayons can brighten up someone’s face.
Be Creative: Get your paints, colors, crayons, canvas… anything and everything to create something beautiful and colorful – add that dash of color to your life and to the lives of your loved ones too.
Appreciate your parents, peers, friends, teachers, neighbors, grand dads and grand moms – even your pets. Tell them and show them how much you love them. This will bring happy smiles.
Value and cherish the simple joys of life – the joy of happy moments.
Be the secret Santa: Gift the joy of giving…for it is in giving that we receive.
Visit orphanages, and add warmth in the lives of the not-so-lucky kids. We are all but creations of God.
Inculcate the joy of giving, and see the beauty and satisfaction in giving. Trust me sweethearts, it is more fulfilling than receiving. Do it just once, and feel the difference.
Ring the bells of happiness in every little heart!
These are the invaluable Christmas values that money can never buy. The spirit of Christmas lies in a beautiful heart. Unfold the magic of giving and experience the joy of sharing and caring. Add the little sparkle.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, 2018.
Zoylu…we spread joy…
Spread the Christmas cheer and the essence of the festive season.
Cheerio!
